concrete5 Editor Guide

When I teach clients how to manage their concrete5 websites some ask for a manual or printouts to take away after the training session. These become out of date and often get lost so I created a website...

The Editor Guide is here to help users who are new to concrete5 and to provide handy reminders, hints and tips for the more experienced.

I'm sure you won't be surprised to know that Guide is itself a concrete5 Content Management website.

Watch out for updates!

Training

computer.jpgWhen you select a Content Management System (CMS) or eCommerce website then your quotation includes training*. This provides the essentials to get you up and running and managing your own website.

Training can be at your premises if you are within 30 miles of ForestPath otherwise it's distance learning using Skype.

A Content Management training session is usually 2 hours long and is tailored to your needs. A typical session includes:

  • Sign in and sign out
  • Edit pages
  • Insert and edit text, images and documents
  • Style and format  text and images
  • Make images ready to use on your website
  • Add links to documents, other pages and other websites
  • Manage and organise files
  • Backup the concrete5 database

*Training is not for absolute beginners and assumes a reasonable understanding of your PC, the internet, file management etc.

I was a teacher

Relax!

You're in good hands!

Are you one of those people who gets a little nervy about learning new skills?

If you are then you may be apprehensive about having a web designer as your teacher!

No need to worry!

Before moving into web design I was a teacher for many years in Primary Education. Part of my job included specialist teaching of Information Technology to both children and teachers.

I'm sure you'll find learning to manage your website is a pleasant, and at times an entertaining experience.
