| Geb, son of
Tefnut and Shu, brother of Nut, father of Isis, Osiris, Nephthys and Set, was
the god of the earth. |
Geb is often to be seen
as a man with a goose atop his head
In many places Geb is referred to as
the "Great Cackler" who was supposed to have laid the egg from which the world
sprang.
Possibly, as a result of this, Geb is known as the "father of
the gods".
Isis his daughter was sometimes named "the egg of the
goose".
